This Recoton product is totally solid from a functional standpoint, and it both looks and feels like it's going to be durable.
'Tis true, I feel oddly qualified to opine on such things b/c this is my third mp3 cable...the Belkin PureAV Mini-Stereo Audio Cable sucked like an anteater with a punctured snout (one of the 3.5 mm input prongs literally snapped in half less than two weeks after I received the product in the mail), while the Sony RK-G136 Audio Connecting Cord I bought for $5.99 more than a year ago was well worth the money and is still in play today in one of my family's two cars.
