(More customer reviews)I bought this unit to copy the VGA display on my Q-see DVR which has a vga out to 3 monitors in different parts of the house.I was a bit disappointed in the features on this design:
1 - it's limited to 150 mhz bandwidth (lowest of the VGA resolutions) - most amplifiers are 250 mhz bandwidth or more
2 - its input is a d-sub-15 MALE.Because most computers and monitors have FEMALE VGA connectors, most cables are MALE on each end.In order to connect this to your PC, you need an extension VGA cable (male to female) for the input.Odds are good you have some old VGA cables laying around that are MALE on each end, but the extension cable is rare.
3 - port 1 determines the monitor capabilities that the PC "sees" digitally, so whatever monitor you connect to port 1 dictates the resolution of your entire system(the output ports are normal FEMALE ports and connect to monitors with normal VGA cables)
I basically took off 1 star for every feature that wasn't designed right.Limiting resolution, making you hunt for a nonstandard VGA cable to hook up the product (and not including any adapters with the product to help you), plus locking the behavior to port 1 where the 3 items that made this less of a good deal. The price was right though, and if you ever need 4 coppies of a VGA signal it will do that if you cooperate.
