(More customer reviews)The included instructions provided very little useful information. The switch is designed to be powered from the HDMI inputs, but a power supply is included for more reliable performance. I installed the power supply.
Although the remote's matrix switching is somewhat intuitive, the switch does not respond as expected to the commands from the remote. Switching between source and output is unpredictable or unresponsive. The remote does not have an indicator to show it is powered on or transmitting.
I will probably keep this unit however because it has an automatic source sensing that works most of the time as long as only one source is powered on. Unfortunately, when two sources are powered on, the auto sensing does not work and the remote commands don't seem to work. By selecting inputs manually on the switch through trial and error, the desired source is eventually located.
Image quality did not appear to be effected by the switch.
