(More customer reviews)I purchased this so that I could use my video game consoles without buying a TV. It's a perfect fit. I was tired of using old CRT TV's (the bulky glass-screens) whose low resolutions really ruined some modern titles. For instance, in a lot of newer games I had a hard time reading text on my old TV, even close to the screen - it just didn't have the resolution. Not only is this converter cheaper than many others, it performs flawlessly. With my 3-year-old run-of-the-mill Acer AL1916W widescreen LCD monitor I can use my Xbox 360 in 1080p with no problems whatsoever. It is GORGEOUS, and makes me wish I had done it a lot sooner. If you have a system that doesn't have component cables (like a PS2 or Wii), the cables are very cheap here on Amazon, too.
