Works fine with my MacBook though.
Buy the one from apple that it should solve the issue with the resolution and this one from Dynex will only work if change the resolution from your device using extra softwares like SwitchResX (http://www.madrau.com/html/SRX/whysr.html), however I have not tried this method since I returned this item and got one from apple to solve this issue.
Hope you all don't need to go through the same hassle as I had to go.
