(More customer reviews)I successfully recovered data from both IDE and SATA drives using this device. Windows saw the USB drives right away.

The IDE drives were mirrored server drives formatted NTFS and had Windows 2000 Advanced Server installed. I used R-Studio from [...] to perform further analysis and fix issues. I deleted the mirror and system disk aspects -- now they are plain data drives used in a secondary backup scheme.

I used OnTrack ([...]) on a previous drive failure years ago -- cost near $1200 to get back seven DVDs worth of recovered data. Wish I had these tools then.
