(More customer reviews)This device is NOT a USB2.0 device despite the product description at the time I ordered it.On a short cat-5 test cable run, connecting a USB 2.0 device to a USB2.0 port on Vista, I get the warning "this device could run faster if you connected it to a USB 2.0 port.
If you need a USB 1.0 extender, this is an inexpensive choice, although I have not tested it on a long cat-5 cable run.
