(More customer reviews)I bought 2 of these at the same time. After 8 months, the output on one of them died. I called Accell Cables and talked to their customer service person, Louisa Hwang. She insisted that it worked and told me that my cables were the problem. She had me do 12 configurations using it and different cables, 2 different DVD players and 2 different TVs. Clearly, this was an attempt to make it so difficult I would just go away. It took me all day to rewire my systems to test this in all the combinations required by Accell but I did it and verified that the one port just doesn't work. I repeated the same tests with the other Accell splitter and it worked perfectly every time. Obviously, the one splitter is defective. I reported this to Louisa Hwang and she sent me a form to fill out to get an RMA number, I did it and got an RMA number. I shipped it back to them and a two weeks later received a shipment from Accell. Inside was the very same splitter I shipped them without any explanation other than the words "passed all test parameters" on the shipping invoice. I plugged it into my system and it didn't work, of course, because it's broken. It fails 100% of the time for me. It would have been impossible for them to test this even once and not see that it's broken.
They are refusing to replace it. What do they think I'm doing? Running a scam where I order splitters, pay to send a working one back just to get a replacement? Do they think I have some crazy setup that no one else in the world has? I have two Accell splitters and one works fine in the very same setup. Clearly, one doesn't work but they refuse to stand by their product.
Terrible customer service, terrible product, terrible company.
