(More customer reviews)I'm using clear QAM and was using a 4 way splitter previously that dropped my cable signal strength down to 60% which made HDTV so jerky it was unwatchable. If I used a 2 way splitter, the signal strength went up to 80% which was watchable on most channels but not all.
Since I *needed* a 4 way splitter for my multiple tv tuners, I decided to give this amplifier a try. It increased my signal strength and quality to the high 90's for all 4 outputs. My HDTV channels no longer have quirks or artifacts and they seem to load faster when changing channels. Not only that, but my standard definition signal is suddenly much much clearer. I had previously blamed my new LCD TV for making standard definition look bad, but I guess I learned it was the signal quality, because with this amplified splitter, the standard definition channels actually look really good, even on my new LCD TV.
I highly recommend this thing.
